A dog who’s overflowing with love, Abby, our Adoptable Dog of the Week, is looking for a family she can lavish with licks. She’s an adult Labrador Retriever and Rottweiler mix from McCall, Idaho. Abby is house trained, spayed, and up-to-date vaccinations.
Abby is a sweet dog who was transferred in from a shelter in Southern Idaho when they were too full. A Lab mix through and through, this girl LOVES the people and will let you know by jumping up to give you lots of kisses! While it’s nice to know she loves you, Abby will probably need a family who can teach her a more appropriate way to show affection. Otherwise, she is active, playful, and friendly.
She’s playing well with other dogs, but doesn’t have much experience with cats. Because of her bouncy nature, we think Abby would do best with kids that are teenagers or older, but with the right training, she would likely do well in any kind of situation. We’ve been told by her original family that Abby spent most of her time as an outdoor dog. She is so ready for a loving family who will take the time to teach her how to be the well behaved dog she has the potential to be!
