10 Most Indestructible Dog Toys

Kathryn has been an online writer for over 12 years. Her articles focus on everything from fashion to pet care.

Dog toys can be a great source of entertainment, mental stimulation, and even dental hygiene for your pet. Plus, chew toys help take their focus off of the desire to chew your things! Unfortunately, though, a lot of toys are more hassle than they're worth. They fall apart or get destroyed easily, making a mess and wasting your money. That's why it's worth it to invest in the toughest ones!

Here are the top ten:

  1. Hurley Chew Toy. This is made from a unique durable material called Zogoflex, and it is so strong that the makers will actually give you a free replacement if your pooch manages to destroy it. Talk about tough! This is designed to take the place of a number of other toys that you might already have for your pet. It is capable of flying through the air, bouncing on the ground, or even floating in water. You can throw out all of the chewed up bones, sticks and balls that you have and replace them all with this single chew toy.
  2. Huck Ball. This is a new one by the same folks who make the Hurley chew toy. The Hurley is bone-shaped, whereas this one is a ball. It's great for playing fetch with. Although the Hurley toy can actually also be used as a ball, this one is better at replacing a ball if that's the only toy that your pet really likes. It's shaped to bounce in unpredictable ways so that your dog will never get bored playing with it. And it comes with a money back guarantee.
  3. Vibram Ball. Another good ball toy is the Vibram ball. It's hollow so you can fill it with goodies and your pet can get into them but the outer shell is tough enough to last for a long time. That outer shell is made from a clean rubber that is safe for your pet and durable at the same time. Like the Huck ball, the shape makes it bounce in an irregular way to keep your pet on his toes. This one comes in a three-inch or four-inch size for different pup sizes.
  4. Nuts for Knots Dog Balls. These are balls, too, but they're made of a super durable rope. The rope is all knotted together into a big ball. If rope alone wasn't durable enough for your pet then the knotted about ball version should be. Great for dogs of any size.
  5. Kong Dog Toys. This is the brand that you are most likely to have heard of already if you've been on the hunt for indestructible dog toys. They are infamous for being well-designed, long-lasting toys that challenge your dog's brain. They've been around since 1976, and they're still among the best in the business.
  6. Nylabone Dental Cone. This brand offers a number of different options. They're known for stimulating your dog's brain as well as improving your dog's dental hygiene. it's not only good for teeth, but it also massages the gums. Just as good as going to the doggie dentist! The dental cone, in particular, is designed to be super durable. However, any of the different Nylabone products would be a good choice.
  7. Orbee-Tuff Sport Tennis Ball. This looks just like a regular tennis ball, but it's so much more durable than that. Orbee-Tuff rates the durability of all of its products, and this one gets five out of five chompers for being so hard to destroy. Dogs that are used to playing with tennis balls will be particularly fond of this one, and you'll be glad that you don't have to replace the tennis balls nearly so often as you did before!
  8. The Almost-Indestructbie Ball. What a funny name for a ball that actually truly seems impossible to destroy! This is a high-impact polyethelene ball that is just about as tough as pet toys come. It's designed for larger dogs that need a big ball to play rough with. It shouldn't chip, tear, break, or pop no matter what your dog does to it.
  9. Sqwuggies Squeak Toys. Not only are these toys durable (they're made from old recycled fire hoses), but they also have a fun squeak that is designed to be heard by dogs. but not by humans. This is great for folks how know their pets want squeak toys but who just can't stand to listen to them. These float in water and are designed to be tugged on without breaking.
  10. Toughstructables Canvas Dog Bones. Instead of giving a real bone, give him a canvas one that will last nearly forever. They are made of a rugged nylon canvas that is capable of floating in water. They are specifically intended for aggressive chewers but of course all dogs would like to play with.

These 10 tend to be the best when it comes to being indestructible play items for your dog. However, there may be other items on the market that you like as well. What you want to look for is a replacement guarantee, a solid material that's designed to be pulled on with teeth, and a creative design that will keep your pet interested in playing.

Rough ball not recommended for folks that don't like their dogs bloody or like good customer service. I stick with kong now

Dawn Ross on January 03, 2013:

Of all the toys you mentioned, my dogs have only tried Kong and Nylabone. The Nylabone was destroyed but the Kong toys are still mostly intact. I like Tuffy's which are not completely indestructible but they have lasted a lot longer with my dogs than any other plush dog toys.

hisandhers from Toronto, Ontario, Canada on November 14, 2012:

I'm so glad that Orbee-Tuff made it to this list! My Jack Russell destroys every toy we've ever given him and we've found this is the only brand that has worked for us. They have a great rating system for how tough each of their individual toys are, so go for the 5-teeth rating if it's available.

bully moma on March 28, 2012:

We love the Unbreakoball toys they are guaranteed fo 90 days. They will replace it if your dog breaks it. Though that may be almost impossible we have dad ours for almost 8 months and it is holding up great I think the site domain is Unbreakoball.com we just searched google for large dog ball and they came right up.

AuggieMom on February 22, 2012:

Bought two of the Dazzler Ducks and my Airedale had them destroyed in a couple of hours.

My favorite company for indestructible dog toys is Kyjen. My jackrussel mix Sam loves tugs and squeakers but is very destructive with his toys. The snakes and geckos at Kyjen have several squeakers each and last months, if not years; the only toys I have found as such. I do not EVER give Sam rubber, nylon, or tennis ball toys as he literally eats them and I shudder to think what his digestion system thinks of that. Every dog is different though.

Dawn Ross on October 19, 2011:

I've heard of some of these, but not all. Thanks for sharing! My dogs would really love more toys but they have to be indestructible.

Entertaining hub! Dogs will love to play with them.

Great hub and very useful to me as I have a Collie puppy whose sole purpose in life is to destroy toys.

Sinea Pies from Northeastern United States on February 01, 2011:

Hi Kathryn,

This hub is so good that I had to link it to my new hub about marrow bones for dogs. I truly did not know that there were so many chew toys to choose from. As you know, so many dog toys get ripped to shreds in no-time! Some of these will go on my shopping list. I have 2 beautiful labs who MUST chew!

Well for tough dog we need tough toys.

schoolmarm from Florida on November 28, 2010:

There are some really great toys here. My dogs love their Kongs and I will have to try out a couple of these as Christmas gifts for them this year. Thanks

WARNING: CUZ almost killed my great dane puppy. Please check out the following site:

On November 22, 2010, Bella, my almost 8 months puppy broke the squeaker of her new toy large Good Cuz and thus a hole was created. This hole turned out to be a powerful vacum and sucked up Bella's tongue into the small hole. What the Cuz did to my Bella was exactly the same as the Pimple Ball did to Chai. Fortunately, Bella's tongue is saved but poor Chai's has been amputated. This whole incident was so distressful which I would not like to repeat it. I have already report the incident to the JW Pet company to request a recall of this dangerous toy from the market. IF THERE IS ALREADY A HOLE IN YOUR CUZ, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE THROW IT ALWAY IMMEDIATELY.

Cool toys!

Good hub!!!! Thanks

Amanda on August 15, 2010:

The Sqwuggies look good and great that they are suitable for play in water - our labs just love any water toys and great for us if we can't hear the squeaker!

John Mattar on August 02, 2010:

Our dog is a Pomeranian Spitz so he doesn't have the jaw power of many bigger dogs. I have purchased a couple of toys on the list for him, and he has had no problems with them.

Most of the toys he chews up fast are ones that are cloth material on the outside, or a hard rubber material.

I try to be careful with different toys I purchase for him, last thing I want him doing is ingesting lead from paint or other nasty materials they add to many dog toys these days.

The Hurley seems interesting, they will give you a replacement if your dog manages to chew it up - impressive. I always hear great things about Kong toys, as well, I'll have to check them out!

Its tnt from God's own Country on May 20, 2010:

Oh so many toys to pick from, yet many do not sustain among the adult dogs. I always have to keep on changing my dog's toy,i.e always a tough fiber ball.

bev of leichhardt australia on May 04, 2010:

wrong wrong -i have a 12 yo golden retriever and 10 yo shepherd kelpie cross . if your dog is active at this age as mine are these are not good toys and in fact are bad toys for these dogs they still chew and they get caught in their instetines .

maxandmittens on March 08, 2010:

Great Hub and these are some great dog toys!

Norah Casey on March 02, 2010:

I don't think I would've survived my dog's puppy hood without some of these toys. The kong toys (she has a kong puppy frisbee and a classic kong) in particular are incredibly valuable. I should check out those other ones as well, thanks for the hub!

Best for Strong Chewers: Petstages Dogwood Stick Dog Toy

There’s no telling why so many dogs are drawn to sticks, but this toy provides the solution for any canine with a stick-chewing habit. Made with a blend of real and synthetic wood, this non-toxic dog toy is designed to resemble the same sticks they get their paws on in the backyard. It’s also extremely durable, with many reviewers stating that it’s passed the test with their pups who are strong chewers. Nearly 3,000 shoppers left a positive review for the sturdy chew toy one said it's "worth it if you have a heavy chewer" while another person said: "My dog can chew through most bones in 30 minutes and gets sick of the super hard porcelain-like bones after a day or two. With this, it took her weeks to get through it and she didn't get tired of it. The best part is that it didn't flake or leave residue and doesn't have gross (or any) scent that gets on our furniture."

Best Multi-Pack: ZippyPaws Squeaky Plush Dog Toys

This three-pack of woodland creature-themed toys is sure to be a hit with dogs who are enthusiastic about squeakers. With two squeakers in each toy, these are sure to provide long-lasting entertainment. And while plush toys are typically filled with stuffing — which often leads to a big mess once the dog manages to pull it all out — these don’t have any stuffing, so you won’t have to worry about cleaning them up later. One customer praised the quality of the toys and said, "My doggy loves them. Her mission in life is to destroy anything with a squeak and fill the house with toy stuffing, but that's not possible with these toys. No stuffing is brilliant. I also appreciate how strong the seaming is on these toys because she has not yet been able to rip them. The toys have multiple squeaks which drives her crazy with excitement! And the squeaks aren't too terrible to listen to."

Buy It! ZippyPaws Squeaky Plush Dog Toys, 3-pack, $8.99 (orig. $15.99) amazon.com

Best for Exercise: Chuckit! Dog Ball Thrower

The Chuckit! Ball Launcher reinvents the classic pastime of tossing and fetching between dog and owner. Available in different handle lengths to meet the specific needs of you and your pup, its simple and ergonomic design requires little effort on the thrower's part. This makes it easier than ever to launch a ball and retrieve it from your pet — without getting your hands covered in slobber — in one fell swoop. Just push the cupped end of the stick on top of the ball and you’re good to go. One customer called it "the best toy, the end." Another reviewer, who also called it "the best toy ever," said: "Bought this for our Lab, who is the quintessential retriever. All other toys were forgotten in less than 30 seconds. One toss of this ball and she was hooked! She would play for hours if we let her."

Best for Puppies: KONG X-Small Teddy Bear Dog Toy

Giving your puppy their first toy is as big of a milestone as celebrating their first birthday, so it’s important to make it memorable. While there are plenty of durable and entertaining toys to choose from, a cozy plush dog toy, like this option from Kong, is sure to fulfill a new dog’s needs to chew, cuddle, and tug. Plus, the small size makes it perfect for even the littlest pups. “I bought this for bringing my new puppy home and it is one of her favorites,” said one reviewer. “It is holding up really well even though it is small and we play light tug with it.”

Most Affordable: Hartz Dura Play Ball

If you’re in the market for a fun option for your pup that won’t cost you a lot, look no further than this affordable squeaky ball. Not only is it just $3 for the small size (yes, really!), but it's also super durable and will keep your dog engaged for hours. Made with a natural foam latex that forms a flexible shape, the simple toy comes in three sizes and can be used in so many ways. Your pup will love fetching, bouncing, or chewing it — it is bacon-scented, after all. One reviewer said this is their puppy’s “favorite ball” and added, “she likes the loud squeak and ability to firmly grasp it.”

Most Durable: Mammoth Cotton Dog Rope Toy

Rope toys have long been reliable sources of entertainment for dogs, whether to play tug-of -war, fetch, or for chewing. And thanks to their high-quality materials, they’re also known to be one of the most long-lasting dog toys. Made from 100 percent natural cotton, this rope toy is durable enough to withstand the pulling and tugging of a strong, persistent pet, which also makes it an excellent teething option for a new puppy,. Customers say they’ve come back to this versatile rope again and again because it works well for dogs of all sizes, ages, and play styles. “My dogs will put any toy to the test,” one reviewer said. “This one is holding up to their chewing and tugging!”

Buy It! Mammoth Cotton Blend Dog Rope Toy, $3.10–$9.99 chewy.com

Best Non-Toxic: West Paw Design Hurley Dog Toy

With its lightweight yet durable material, easy-to-hold shape, and bright colors, this chew toy checks all the boxes. But it’s most important quality is that it’s made with non-toxic materials, like BPA-free plastic, so you can rest assured that your pup is safe while chewing and playing with this toy for hours on end. Plus, as an eco-friendly bonus, it’s made from the materials of recycled toys. One shopper called the chew toy "unbreakable," while many others agreed it's super durable and great for strong chewers. "After having this bone a month, my pitlab mix hasn't destroyed it! Actually, he adores it. It's the only toy he's allowed to have upstairs/in bed because it doesn't flake like other chew toys," wrote one person. "It also is bouncy enough that we play fetch with it. During his down time, he loves to chew it or just hold it between his paws."

The Best Squeaky Dog Toys That Won't Annoy You

Your pup may love squeaky dog toys but your eardrums? Not so much. Save your sanity with innovative toys that will keep Fido chewing all day, without filling your home with that grating sound. We found the best squeaky toys that are quiet enough to let your furry friend enjoy for hours, many of which are completely silent to human ears. Now everyone's happy!

This plush gator toy is under-stuffed, so it has a floppy body dogs love to shake. It's also manufactured using a special Chew Guard technology that makes it a more durable toy than similar styles. And best of all, the squeaker makes an ultrasonic sound only your pup can hear.

This soft and silent plush blowfish doubles as a pillow for pups who love to cuddle. You can even let your dog bring it to the office or chew in the middle of a get-together, since only he can hear the silent squeaker.

If you love to watch your dog play but hate cleaning up stuffing afterward, have we got a toy for you. This adorable monkey plush comes stuffed with an ultrasonic squeaker but none of that cotton fluff, so it's quiet and mess-free. We call that a win-win.

Some large or "bully" breeds have jaws of steel, and that can make finding a good plush toy a real challenge. This pig comes equipped with double-stitched seams and Chew Guard technology so it lasts longer, as well as an ultrasonic silent squeaker. That will save your sanity and your wallet.

Some days you're playing a game of fetch in the backyard where squeaking won't bother you so much. Other times, you just want your furry friend to occupy himself while you're on the phone. This ball lets you adjust the volume, so you can have it both ways.

By the look on this deer-shaped plush toy's face, it isn't having nearly as much fun as your pooch. But Fido will love the squeaker only he can hear. The under-stuffed construction also makes it perfect for shaking and tossing around the house.

If your dog has ever accidentally nipped your fingers when playing tug, this is the ball for you. A nylon wrist strap lets the human playmate get a better grip, without putting your hands in harm's way. The convenient mute button helps you control the volume on playtime, too.

Some dogs steal empty water bottles out of the recycling bin because they love the crackling noise the plastic makes. If this sounds like yours, mix up playtime with this crackle stick. The sound isn't as grating as the traditional squeak, but will still satisfy your pup's need for noise.

This versatile dog toy works for fetch, tug, or even a solid chew sesh. It's got both a plush tail and a rubber body, so it's equally fun for cuddling and chowing down. A mute button also gives you control over how much noise it makes. While it likely wouldn't hold up for long with super strong chewers, it's perfectly suitable for your average pup's playtime.

Suitable for both large and small dogs, this adorable plush penguin is too cute not to add to your dog's toy box. The corduroy-like fabric gives your dog an enticing material to slobber all over, but the silent squeaker means only they will know how long they spend squishing it.

10 Best Indestructible Dog Toys in 2020

1. Chew King Fetch Balls

We start out with the king (pun intended) of dog toys, the evasive, majestic ball. What makes this simple shape so alluring to our pups? Whatever it is, Chew King has the product that will actually stay ball-shaped, long after the dog sinks their teeth into it.

Natural Production

There are no offputting chemical smells going on with these balls (steady). The natural rubber clearly hasn’t been treated with anything potentially harmful to your dog, and it retains a good shape and bounce.

Perfect For Outdoors

The clue is in the name, really. These ‘fetch’ balls are ideal for taking on walks to expend some energy and keep your dogs entertained without running off somewhere. They also fit any regular large launchers if your throwing arm gets tired.

  • Keep their shape under extreme chewing.
  • The natural smell, 100% rubber.
  • Easy to clean.
  • Come in packs of up to eight, providing value.
  • Various sizes are available for all mouths.

  • Heavy for playing fetch.
  • The texture is offputting for some dogs.

2. Kong Extreme Chew Toy

Kong is the name that springs to mind when you think of hard-as-nails dog chew toys, and that is mostly down to the success and durability of this particular toy. The shape and style have been honed over the years to craft the ultimate dog toy.

Makers’ Guarantee

You know you can trust a Kong toy to deliver on the lifespan front. The iconic shape encourages varied chewing that stimulates a dog’s sense of play and is good for their mental wellbeing. This particular model is designed with power chewers in mind.

Mental Health

This toy provides emotional enjoyment for dogs. It can help with everything from dealing with separation anxiety to assisting in crate training. Most importantly, it keeps your dog occupied when there is no-one to play with!

  • Stuffable with treats.
  • Dishwasher safe.
  • A real long-laster.
  • Aids in mental wellbeing.
  • Plenty of sizes for all power chewers.

  • The newer model seems to dip in durability.
  • Smaller sizes than standard Kongs.

3. Otterly Pets Activity Rope

Ah, the rope. A cornerstone of human-dog playtime. My dog will chew up anything, yet his ropes are still the go-to when it comes to activity time. So how about this five pack to offer as many types of tug o’ war as you can wag your tail at?!

Variety Pack

This multipack isn’t just five of the same rope, but a nice variety of toys that your dog will have a hard time choosing between. The ball and donut are great for working on solo, while the more standard ropes are for trying to take from the humans!

Dental Benefits

Like hiding children’s vegetables in their roast dinner, sometimes you have to trick your pup into accepting any offers of dental hygiene. These rope toys can help you by massaging the gums and preventing plaque buildup for a healthy smile!

  • Five different toys in one.
  • Natural cotton fibers clean teeth and gums.
  • Different textures to keep dogs interested.
  • Non-toxic, all-natural.
  • All a good size.
  • Quality construction – good value for money.

  • Fraying fibers can cause a poorly tummy – keep an eye for damage.
  • Sharp nails and teeth can cause some messy fraying.

4. Jolly Pets Romp-n-Roll

Now, this toy from Jolly Pets combines the rope and ball into one super-toy for endless amounts of fun with your dog. The tightly-woven rope holds up well in a tug of war game, while the ball will float for playing fetch anywhere.

A Great Allrounder

You don’t necessarily need to have a chewer to enjoy the benefits of this toy. Tuggers, fetchers, and swimmers are all welcome to get their teeth around it without it falling apart on you. There are sizes to suit every breed, too.

Performs Past Punctures

It is true that a heavy chewer can pierce the ball in the center of this toy. However, that doesn’t stop it from functioning any differently. In fact, it will keep bouncing and floating until your pup is ready to go home and sleep.

  • Perfect for tug of war and fetch.
  • Encourages swimmers, chewers, and fetchers.
  • The ball can survive punctures and still float and bounce.
  • Good workout for your dog.
  • The weighty ball will last.

  • Not to be left alone as the rope frays quickly.
  • The ball is excellent but the rope doesn’t last as long.

5. GoughNuts MaXX Pro 50 Ring

This is an excellent toy for power chewers, primarily due to the weight of it. The density of the ring makes it difficult to whip around and generally start picking it apart. It comes with Goughnuts’ classic safety indicator.

Safety First

GoughNuts develop their toys to be safe for dogs to go to town on before anything else. If and when your pup does chew through towards the middle of the toy, the safety indicator will start to show red, indicating that it’s time to chuck it!

Fun For Pups

It’s not all about safety, however. The shape and challenge presented by this toy is a real stimulant for your dog’s brain training. Keep them occupied for hours while crate training, or use it as a distraction for separation anxiety.

  • Safety first indicator.
  • Long-lasting even with aggressive chewers.
  • Heavy, with a good shape that encourages play.
  • Pleasing texture for your dog to sink their teeth into.
  • Lifetime warranty.

  • Too heavy to throw and not great for human-dog play.
  • Expensive if your dog doesn’t take to it.

6. Benebone Real Flavor Wishbone

This wishbone chew toy is packed with flavors that your dog will go crazy for coming in chicken, bacon, and peanut varieties. The specially designed shape is formulated to assist in the chewing and prevent your pup from getting frustrated.

Very Long-lasting

The toughness of this toy is not to be underestimated. As durable and sturdy toys go, this is a fine product that will stand the test of time. It is exceptionally hard – so it is not best to leave a dog alone with it for too long.

Perfect Distraction

For dogs that can’t help but chew up everything around the home, having a toy that smells like their favorite food is an amazing distraction. No more broken TV remotes and fraying couch cushions when this is in the room!

  • Extraordinarily hard-wearing.
  • The dog-friendly design encourages activity.
  • Attractive smell (to dogs).
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Great range of sizes.

  • Not to be left alone or played with too long as your dog could suffer tooth breakage. There is a safety warning on the product.
  • Good smell for dogs, less so for humans!

7. Nylabone Power Flavored Chew

This one is a favorite of my dog. The natural chewability of the bone shape is attention-grabbing, and the flavors that it gives off are alluring and attention-keeping for a healthy distraction all day long.

Control Mouth Health

The shape and chewing action provided by this toy help to keep plaque and tartar buildup at bay. Impress your vet on your next visit with a pearly set of doggie whites with regular use of this product.

Keeps On Going

This toy will last even the most aggressive of chewers for a long time. It is a truly durable product that provides hours of entertainment for your pup, and a much-needed bit of peace and quiet for you!

  • Texture adds chewing appeal.
  • It helps contribute to healthy teeth and gums.
  • Excellent lifespan.
  • Flavored to make it a certain favorite.
  • Good length for dogs to hold themselves.

  • Once it starts wearing down you have to keep an eye for any broken-off pieces.
  • So hard that over-excited chewers may break a tooth.

8. Pacific Pups Products XL Rope

All sales of this toy are in aid of Pacific Pups Rescue, a Californian non-profit dog rescue. This toy is produced by dog people who have animal interests at heart. The product itself has multiple parts for all-round play with your pup.

A Good Cause

Of course, it goes without saying that helping out dog rescue organizations is a fantastic gesture and a great help to the community. But because it comes from dog lovers like us, you can trust this toy to be safe and fun for your pooch.

Plenty To Chew On

With two ropes, a ball for fetch, and a rope ball all included, your dog will have lots of choices when it comes to playtime. Each rope is tightly woven and knotted throughout for long life and plenty of games of tug of war!

  • Variety of colors and textures.
  • Each sale is for a good cause.
  • The solid ball is a hit with dogs.
  • Three ropes for the price of one.
  • Doggie bags included as an added gift.

  • Not a toy for teething pups.
  • The most extreme chewers could fray the ropes.

9. Tikaton Indestructible Bone Chew

Nylon chew toys provide an excellent source for dogs to satisfy their natural urge to chew. Hard-wearing, non-toxic, and beef-scented, this toy is sure to be a hit with your dog. It also saves you having to pick up bits of sticks every five minutes!

A Firm Favorite

Dogs go wild for scented toys. This one gives off a particularly enticing beef scent that keeps them coming back for more every day! As with most scented toys, the smell is not very appealing to humans, but your pup will love it long after we can’t smell it.

Ideal For Independence

The longer the toy, the easier it is for a dog to hold it in the paws while they chow down on it. This toy is great as the girth enables it to stand almost unsupported, leaving your pup to focus on the important business of gnawing away.

  • Tough nylon lasts a long time.
  • Very affordable for its durability.
  • Nicely flavored for pups.
  • The well-designed shape supports individual play.
  • It doesn’t break down sharply like others.

  • The smell is very strong, to begin with.
  • It gradually wears down to a sharp edge.

10. EeToys Chew for Aggressive Chewers

Smart Scrape

A bonus for everyone sick of cleaning up small pieces of hard, sharp toy. Smart Scrape technology ensures that only minute pieces are stripped off through excessive chewing. They should pass through your dog’s system safely.

Irresistible For (Dog) Noses

As we’ve seen in previous scented toy examples, the smell of beef and other treats is a surefire way to get a dog interested in something. It aids in keeping their attention – just remember, the smell will wear off to the point you won’t notice it.

  • Smart Scrape technology.
  • Cavities for treats like peanut butter.
  • The smooth shape is easy to carry.
  • Tested for success with dogs big and small.
  • A real contender for super-strong chewers.

  • Not for teething.
  • Even the small pieces can cause illness if ingested.

Our Conclusion

A quick disclaimer has to be made here: Just because something is recommended as ‘indestructible’, and has even been tested and worked well with some dogs for months, doesn’t necessarily mean that your pup won’t manage to get their teeth through it. There will always be comments from owners who have had trouble with every toy available.

You should always exercise caution when introducing a new toy to the house, and monitor your dog carefully for the first few times they play with it. Any failure of due diligence could be met with a hefty vet bill. There are always exceptions to the rule when it comes to heavy chewers. Make sure your dog plays safely with their new toy – and happy chewing!
